Art classes in Melville

So, being stuck in my own solitary company most of the time was getting the better of me, as if artists aren't crazy and weird enough as it is. I started giving painting classes in this really old, really beautiful, really antique Melville house. Complete with pressed ceilings and balcony and wooden floors (hidden benath a red carpet that is, WHY?!)...
This was the best idea ever! (Thank you Yvonne Kellerman!) We are having so much fun, painting and chatting and drinking loads of coffee (and sometimes a little red wine too!).

PS. There is still a space or two open for students who wants to join and experience the joys of oil painting! Contact me!

A few pics I snapped on my Thursday evening class...

Loco Annabelle LingaLinga

My dearest darling great Dane is growing up so flippen fast!

when a swallow marries a fish...

Our beautiful, breathtaking, amazingly romantic hippie-beach wedding.
We got married in January this year at the lovely Strandkombuis near Yzerfontein in the West Coast Cape. It was the sweetest dream. A day filled with love, life and laughter.
Capturing our prettiest memories were the incredible team of WeLovePictures (http://www.welovepictures.blogspot.com/), thank you again dear Travis&Maike!! We are so proud, so grateful, so happy!!!

More Home Sweet Home

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue...

(A little change, a few new paintings, an updated prettiness in my home)

A dog's life

Our Pippin deserves a quick blogpost. She is such a big part of our lives, she shares almost every minute with me since I work from home.
We got her from this wonderful animal rescue centre, Wetnose (http://www.wetnose.org.za/), just outside Pretoria. Her mother is a purebred Border Collie who came to the centre pregnant. We have no idea who/what the father is, but Pieter ordered this DNA test kit online (I have an extremely curious husband) and we will be able to determine her gene-pool very soon.
As mentioned, she is a Border Collie cross and this means a lot of exercise and attention is needed, she keeps us fit and healthy to say the least!
Meet Pippin (as she grew up)...
Pippin CAN jump!
And soon to join our family: Loco Annabelle LingaLinga! A mouthfull, but for a truly deserving giant-to-be...
